Take Control of Your Destiny
Claim your destiny.
Don’t watch it.
Don’t wait for it.
Walk towards it.
Don’t settle.
Follow your dreams.
Pursue your destiny.
You deserve it.

“Loving myself” was the onset of immense changes in my life.
Before I learn how to justly love myself, I never knew that I am capable of doing so many things. Being drowned with too much self-pity, I did not find the courage to do remarkable things for myself and others. After going through a pivotal point in my marriage and finding self-love, I finally found my destiny.
Oops... Don’t think too far yet. I didn’t find somebody else. I am still with my ever-loving and responsible husband. When I say destiny, I mean the deepest desire and dreams of my heart.
Some people say:
“Wait for your destiny.”
“If it is really meant for you, it will happen. Then it is your destiny.”
This was also my thinking before. I always believe I can just wait for my destiny because they happen if it is really meant for me. This thought came from the old childhood song "Que Sera, Sera (Whatever will be, will be. The future is not ours to see.)" Most of us Filipinos don’t actually plan or pursue our dreams because of this mindset called BAHALA NA. We have a deep faith in God that we rely all things to Him. According to Bro Bo, there are things and events in our life that we are not in control of but there are even more things that God expects us to take control.
One of the perks of loving yourself is finding your destiny. That is not waiting for your dream to happen but rather pursuing it. This has been the greatest contribution of Bro Bo’s Truly Rich Club in my life. I have acquired a positive mindset towards life in general.
I was a simple woman with a simple dream- to have a happy family. That dream probably came from the comfort I felt from a simple family I grew up with. We were not a perfect family to start with, but I am content. All I wanted was a better version of it. When I go through my hardships here in Singapore and with my marriage, that was when I realized life is not at all simple. I became comfortable with life and everything my husband is giving me that I forgot to take part in it. God knows how to tap my back big time. So He has to let me learn it the hard way.
When I have nobody to lean on, God gave answers in mysterious ways. I guess God doesn’t want to be left out in this generation, so he gave me the answers from Youtube. Cool God, right? Being an auditory learner who loves listening (take note not reading), I found my answers from Bro Bo’s talks. I have learned that I don’t have to watch my life like how we watch it in telenovelas. We are not supposed to watch our lives and cry over it. It is your life, not a telenovela. Life doesn’t happen. As the cliché goes, we make it happen.
“You have the power to determine your future.”—Bo Sanchez
Fast forward to what I see my future now. It was not that simple anymore. Although I still dream to live a simple and humble life, but with abundant resources to share with family, friends and those who need it the most. This time, I want it more meaningful. I didn’t realize how blessed I was before I came here to Singapore. Until, God take it all away. Now, it is sweeter because I have to redeem it all with a brighter outlook and a better me.
