First Step Towards Destiny
Have you claimed your destiny?
Acknowledging that you finally wanted to claim your dream destiny in life is already an admirable sign of a better future, but it doesn’t end there. Claiming your destiny requires more of concrete steps towards it.
More often, I found myself daydreaming of great things to happen in my life- a fulfilling job, an inspiring talk in front of a big crowd, travel the world and the list goes on. But then I realized, none of them is happening.
Following Bro. Bo’s teachings, coupled with a lot of prayers, made me a woman of action.
It started off with inner healing. In the middle of a marriage crisis where I thought things will never get better, I found myself walking towards the adoration chapel every single day. God healed me. What was his message for this whole journey? God gave a compelling message- “I love you my child and that is one big reason enough to LOVE YOURSELF.”
I know you heard this from me before in my past blogposts but LOVING MYSELF is actually the first concrete step towards my destiny. How did I do it? I simply followed the "10 Ways to Love Yourself" by Bro Bo.
I greeted a stronger me.
I accepted my faults and forgave myself.
I nurture myself by being conscious of what truly makes me happy so that positive vibe will radiate to the people around me.
I set boundaries from the things that may cause negativity and affect my well-being.
I reminded myself of the things I am capable of doing.
I realized the value of self-education.
I started pursuing my dream and served the people I loved.
From then on, everything started falling into place. The most important habit I developed from Bro Bo’s teachings through his Powertalks is not only to act, but to ACT NOW. With this in mind, I was brainwashed to live a meaningful life. This probably would be the best brainwashing scheme on Earth. Seriously though, I have never been this optimistic my whole life. I now take full responsibility of pursuing my destiny.

Self-confidence, my marriage and our family’s finances are the three major areas of my life that I deem need more attention in order to realize my visions, so I focused on them. I started to devote my time and energy on these essentials.
The first step to improving my confidence is to self-educate. I started reading books. Believe me when I say, it was a struggle. I am not a bookworm at all. I always study last-minute before exams during college to escape the gruelling books with lots of alien-looking words. So to avoid being overstressed on the mere thought of reading, I tried doing things within my comfort zone- listening. I searched for video tutorials on improving self-confidence and other personality-cultivating videos on Youtube, this is why I got hooked up with Bro Bo’s Powertalks. My husband cries out over my exceeding mobile data usage for months. My only reason was; it’s worth the investment.
My first step to saving my marriage is forgiveness. I decided to forgive him and myself for the things that caused us pain through out the struggle. The greatest reward of forgiveness is peace. I could never thank God enough for giving us the chance to visualize our life together again even if it requires us to go through the hurtful process of picking up the pieces of our broken hearts. It was a slow and steady progression but we took the risk. Our marriage weathered the big storm, now I can proudly say it was worth the fight.
Lastly, the first step in dealing with our financial issues is acceptance and awareness. Working in a foreign land without a tangible plan for the future is the biggest mistake we dealt with for the past years. It crippled our finances. I have to admit that this has played a huge part of my family’s difficulties. I will share with you details of this financial battle in the next blogpost. Upon learning that Bro Bo is an advocate of helping good Filipinos to become rich, I get myself informed right away of his best-selling book 8 Secrets of the Truly Rich. To have a bigger picture and fully understand these eight secrets, I can send it to your email if you are keen. Click here to sign up.
Sometimes, we find ourselves stuck in a situation we often think is destined for us. We simply settle for it even if we are not happy anymore. Destiny is supposed to be satisfying and fulfilling. But by failing constantly, we tend to stop. It causes us to lose the momentum of pursuing our dream- our destiny. Let us not be comfortable with failure. If you find yourself caught up in a disagreeable situation, pause and then take the first step again... and again.
